What is a Volunteer Officer?
-helping to coordinate local community outreach programs
-you should attend (or organize) a volunteer event once a month (a balance between variety and consistency is important)
-you should create and maintain a database of volunteer organizations for our members on your PMA's pages
-you should seek to form relationships with a variety of volunteer organizations serving a variety of volunteerism types
-you also need to make sure we continue to support the more popular ones, hopefully by recruiting dedicated volunteer coordinators (serving on a committee you create locally or on the National Volunteer Committee) to focus on that specific organization or volunteerism type
-officers from each PMA will serve on the Volunteer Committee nationally and specialize in one coordinator role
-one Volunteer Officer from the Volunteer Committee will serve as Chair of that Committee and serve on the National Council
