What is a Human Rights Officer?*

**Any opinion, conclusion and other information from this committee does not intend to, directly or indirectly, encourage, support or advocate any unlawful actions or courses of action or participation in political activities or protests that are prohibited or unlawful in Korea or that may contravene working visa requirements.

-helping to moderate local discussions to create and provide resources for various human rights issues to be heard locally and nationally

-you will help find organizations locally to be put in a list of human rights organizations through your PMA's pages

-you are encouraged to coordinate with Human Rights Officers of adjacent PMA's and meet with these organizations on ATEK's behalf to discuss a variety of issues and to brainstorm ways that our community might be able to help or might be able to be helped by any particular organization in that list

-the structure of this role is basically the same as the Volunteer Officer; however, this role will be a bit more challenging because the types of human rights issues tend to be based Nationally (in fact, internationally), so it is more difficult to divide things or find resources on a local basis; therefore, a lot of the energy in this role will be to inspire others (perhaps gu-offices) to create and provide these services

-officers from each PMA will serve on the Human Rights Committee nationally and specialize in one area of Human Rights Issues
