The mission of the Seoul Metropolitan Association for Teachers of English in Korea shall be to support the goals and mission of the Association for Teachers of English in Korea. Further, the Seoul Metropolitan Association seeks to: ensure a reasonable quality of life for expatriate English speaker teachers in Seoul; provide assistance and resources for English teachers in Seoul as able; provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for English teachers in Seoul by ensuring that their needs are understood and met; set an example of excellence that will be looked up to by other local associations; and to uphold the highest standards of conduct and integrity as English teachers in Seoul and Seoul representatives of the Association for Teachers of English in Korea.

The Seoul Metropolitan Association is the largest local association in the country. We are currently accepting General Member applications from qualified members. You simply need to show proof to the Seoul Membership Officer that you are employed in South Korea as an English teacher on an E or F visa. By completing a General Member Registration Form you will be able to access all of the General Member Benefits on offer, participate in local forums and take part in the upcoming national elections.
